ABOUT THE PROCESS

We've broken down the basic synopsis of the process we take to make all of our metal art.

Take a look!

01 Designing

All the magic starts with a simple design on a computer screen.  Whether it's hand-drawn or traced, or a preexisting image, we can make most designs work.  The image we want to use gets imported into our CAD software, and from there, we just make a few edits to get as much detail as possible without the individual lines cutting into each other.  Once the design is done, we move the file over for cutting.

02 Plasma Cutting

Our CNC Plasma table is equipped to cut varying thicknesses of metal, so we make sure that all the settings are dialed to cut what we want.  That way, we get crisp lines, without having to worry about a whole bunch of slag to clean up in the process.  After cutting, the piece leaves the table, and heads over to prep for powder coating.

03 Powder Coating

Now that we have the cleaning done, we get set up to powder coat.  We have a few different colors to choose from, but once we select the color we want, it gets loaded into the powder gun.  The piece gets coated, baked, and a thorough inspection to make sure there are no unsightly imperfections, then cools down so it's ready to handle and use.
